barriochannel.TV is an internet platform for videoartists and videoactivists, based in Berlin. Our aim is to make visible projects, groups and artists working with video. barriochannel.TV is an internet television project broadcasting with “web streaming” technologies.
barriochannel.TV turns the camera towards current manifestations of the video culture and attempts to give an overview of the contemporary video scene: video activism, video art, copyleft initiatives, video magazines, Internet videoblogs, P2P networks, Internet live streaming experiences, video archives, media activist gatherings, pirate televisions.
barriochannel.TV approaches video from positions that go beyond the artistic context, pointing up a socially and politically relevant use of the medium.
